The 17th Palamedion Combat Sports Championship is coming to Nafplio

The “Choi Li Fat Association of Greece” with registration number G.G.A. FG23, announces the holding of the 17th Palamideian International Combat Sports Championship, which will take place on October 31, November 1 and 2, 2025 at the Municipal Sports Center of the Municipality of Nafplio (Nafplio Avenue – N. Kiou, Nafplio).

The Palamideian Championship bears its name from the historic fortress of Palamideian, which dominates imposingly above Nafplio, symbolizing centuries of history, endurance and heroism.

 

At the same time, it honors Palamideian, the legendary hero of Greek mythology, son of the king of Nafplio, who stood out for his intelligence, strategic thinking and fighting spirit.

 

With this name, the championship seeks to connect combat sports with the values ​​of strength, perseverance and agility, which embody both the fortress of Palamidi and Palamidi himself.

 

Beyond its historical and mythological significance, the Palamidi Championship is also dedicated to the late teacher Gaspar Garcia, who was a leading figure and mentor in the world of Luohan Qigong and Choy Lee fut Kung Fu.

 

The championship is organized with the approval of the Greek Wushu - Kung Fu Federation and the Panhellenic Kickboxing Federation, while it is supported by the Municipality of Nafplio.

 

Competitions to be held: Taolou, Light Sanad, Kick Light, Light Contact, Point Fighting, Competitive Self-Defense.

 

The Organizing Committee invites athletes, coaches and friends of combat sports to honor this great sporting event with their presence, contributing to the promotion of martial arts and noble competition.
