Description
The mixed-media performance The Soup: a contemporary ritual-hymn to freedom of speech (and not only) is inspired by the thought of the contemporary philosopher Achille Mbembe 'Necropolitics'.
The hope is to remember and re-live the primary meaning of what a human being will say through the sharing of basic experiences such as food but also through the (perhaps bitter?) realization that history repeats itself.
The action maneuvers between the everyday/commonplace and the political/philosophical, raising questions about the current global condition.

The performance is participatory: there is brief tactile contact with the performers. Viewers will be invited to wear a sleep mask which will be given to them for approximately 10 minutes.
