Nafplio - Christmas Event 2025

Santa Run
The celebrations begin on Sunday, December 7th 2025, with the traditional "Santa Run," which will take place at 5:00 p.m., starting at the "Pergola," at the beginning of the Vassileos Konstantinou pedestrian walkway, inviting residents and visitors to participate in a joyful Christmas run.
Santa Claus and his helpers run a 1.5-kilometer race (Santa Run) in the historic center of Nafplio, exciting residents and visitors alike. They will finish at the Three Admirals' Square (Trion Navarchon Square) to guard the Tree and joyfully welcome Christmas.
At the same time, mischievous goblins try to spoil the celebration and snatch the joy of the children and the presents from Santa's sack. His helpers, however, together with the cute elves of the "Chorokinissi" dancing group and the help of the young friends of "Theatrodromio" (local theatre group) will prevent them, so that the celebration can continue in harmony. 

Christmas Tree Lighting
Right afterwards, at 6 p.m. in Trion Navarchon (Three Admirals') Square, the Mayor of Nafplio, Mr. Dimitrios Orfanos, will officially light the Christmas tree, with the participation of the Municipal Philharmonic, the Argolis Music School, the "Chorokinissi" Athletic and Cultural Association, and the renowned composer Mr. Giorgos Theofanous, giving Nafplio an artistic and particularly dazzling start to the festive season.

Christmas Market
On December 20th and 21st 2025, Trion Navarchon Square will be filled with life, color and aromas thanks to a Christmas market, that promises ideal moments for festive strolls, shopping, gifts and delicious treats, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere for everyone. On December 21st, the Polar Express will arrive at the city's Christmas Park for its official opening, transporting young and old alike on a unique journey, filled with imagination and festive cheer.

New Year's Eve
On New Year's Eve, Trion Navarchon (Three Admirals') Square will become the central point of celebration for welcoming the new year. With the well-known band "Alcatrash" lifting the mood with live music, dancing, excitement and an impressive fireworks show, that will light up the sky over Nafplio, the city will bid farewell to 2025 and welcome 2026 in the most dazzling and joyful way possible! A further announcement will follow shortly with all the Municipality's Christmas events and the full detailed program for the sweetest Christmas in Nafplio!
